Obituary of John Andrew Karpack

John Karpack, Rockaway Twp. John Andrew Karpack, passed away at home on Thursday, December 31st. He was 54 years young. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 8th at 11 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, January 7th from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in his name to the Rockaway Township Fire Department, Hibernia Company 1, 372 Green Pond Road, Rockaway Township, NJ 07866 or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Green Pond Road, Rockaway, NJ 07866. Born in Denville to Lawrence & Evelyn Karpack, he has lived in Rockaway Twp. for all of his life. John, like most of the Karpack men, was a longtime member of the Hibernia Fire Dept. Hibernia Co. 1 was a second home. He also enjoyed fishing, and any deep sea trip he could get to. He was a good cook too, and made a living doing it at Smith’s Tavern. John was a loving son and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Predeceased by his father Lawrence and his brother Bobby; he is survived by his mother Evelyn; his brothers Larry (Karen) and William; his nephews Ryan, Zachary and Kyle (Kristin); niece Marissa; and many more loving relatives and friends.
