Obituary of Eric Abrahamsen

Eric Abrahamsen passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, December 19th. He was 62 years young, and will be missed dearly by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd at 11 am at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Interment to follow at the Denville Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in his memory to the good work of the Market Street Mission, 9 Market St., Morristown, NJ 07960. Born in Queens, NY, Eric graduated from Paramus HS. He then went on to earn his BS in Industrial Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He married Linda Hausler and the couple settled in Denville, NJ. Eric always enjoyed learning new things. After his first son was born he enrolled back in school for his Masters degree. He graduated from NJIT with his MS in Computer Science. He was a big sports fan, always cheering on his NY Giants and NY Yankees. He loved to read and was excellent at a crossword puzzle. He did them daily. He worked for the MTA, NY for the past 25 years and loved coming home to his pup Stanley.
Predeceased by his father Alfred; he is survived by his wife Linda of 34 years; his mother Patricia ; sons Steven(Melanie) and William; grandson Logan, brother Paul; loyal canine Stanley; and many more loving relatives and friends.
