I'm so sorry hear of John's passing. Although I'll miss him, I feel blessed and grateful for the privilege of knowing him. When I started out on my own, John believed in me and gave me the opportunity to earn a living as a self-employed graphic designer. He not only helped me improve my technical abilities, but more importantly, he taught me so much about doing quality work and paying attention to detail. I thought of him as a mentor, and I aspired to be as talented and successful as he was in our profession.
He had so many interests, talents and activities beyond his work life. I regret that I never got to spend more time with him outside of work. In addition to being a good friend and an all-around great guy, John was definitely one of the most interesting, multifaceted individuals I've had the pleasure of knowing.
My deepest condolences to Barbara and the Brinkman family. My thought and prayers are with you all.

Dear Barbara & Family,
John was a wonderful part of our Sheraton Tara Pool community. So many will miss John as he was always a great entertainer with wonderful stories to tell. The jokes kept coming too and his lively spirit will be well missed.
Big hugs to you all.

Our deepest sympathy. What a courageous, loving, kind man John was. Our times spent with you and John, Barbara, are among our very favorite times. It seems like yesterday that we were at your place in Avalon, beaching during the day, dining at night, followed by singing with John on guitar. He was talented in so many ways! We will surely miss our long phone conversations. 4 phones involved always! His wonderful sense of humor was always so apparent; his laughter infectious. Please be comforted by the fact that his faith remained strong at the end of his life and he must have felt the peace of the Lord's presence. We will miss him. God bless.

To all the Brinkman family - sending you all my love. I will miss John terribly - he was a terrific husband, father, grandfather and cousin. He could always bring a smile and a laugh to all he met. I treasure the fact that he stepped in to walk me down the aisle at my wedding in place of my Dad. Hope he and my Dad are sharing a cold beer and a sandwich in heaven and smiling down on all of us.

Words can’t express how very sorry we are for your loss. Mr. Brinkman was such a kind, loving man who always went above and beyond to help out and support his family. He made it a mission to be at all of his grandkids sporting events, concerts, plays, and other activities, cheering them on. He was certain to capture it all on film so he could make special keepsake photos they would have and treasure forever.
Mr. Brinkman was talented, creative, understanding, dedicated and patient - clearly proven when he was helping Jen and me to design our logo! He had such a passion for music - I loved listening to him sing, as well as hearing stories about his days with his band, and how he met the love of his life, Barbara. Their love and commitment to each other was beautiful to see. He will forever be watching over you Mrs Brinkman.
Heaven truly gained another angel in John Brinkman. He will be sorely missed but our memories of him will be treasured forever.
With much love,
Christine, Connor, Tyler and Jamie
