Obituary of Arthur Michael Casey
Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arthur Michael Casey, 72, passed away peacefully at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, on Sunday, October 25, 2015.
Born in Dover and raised in Denville, he resided in Netcong for the last 15 years. Prior to that he lived in Mt. Arlington for over 30 years. For 20 years, he took pride in being the Security Guard for International Trade Zone in Budd Lake. An avid sports fan, his teams included the Jets and the Mets; and he loved Hockey. To this day, he holds the record for the "highest scoring defenseman" from his High School Hockey team. He was the coach for his children's sports including Little League and Softball. Arthur was a proud Vietnam Army Rifleman Veteran. He had a special place in his heart for all of his dogs that he had throughout his life. He was reliable, hardworking, and a man of honor. Above all else, he put his family first, especially his three granddaughters. He left a legacy of love, laughter, and admiration that will be truly missed.
Left to keep his legacy alive is his beloved children, Debra Lynn Dorando of Netcong, Michael Joseph Casey and Kristin Casey of Canadensis, PA, and Christopher Paul Casey of Utah; his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Dorando, Alaina Mercedes Casey, Mya Elizabeth Casey; his caring brother, Robert Matthew Casey of Florida; his former spouse and current friend, Mercedes Julia Casey of Kinnelon; and many adored dogs that are greeting him at the gates of Heaven, Champ, Sampson, Dipper, Kayla, and Tonka.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th at 2:00 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Public Visitation will take place prior to the Service from 10 – 2 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United States Army, http://giftstoarmy.army.mil/linkDonate.aspx, in Arthur's memory. Please leave a condolence for his family.
