Obituary of John Dennis Halbig

John D. Halbig Sr. passed away at his home in Saylorsburg, PA on August 22, 2015. He was 66 years old. John was born and raised in Denville, NJ where he spent most of his life before moving to Pennsylvania 4 months ago. He was the owner and operator of Kings Pub in Dover from ’73 – ’94. John was an avid drag racer and hot rod collector, spending much of his time at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ. He was also a member of the Ford V8 Club in Hanover, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Renee Ann (Robinson) Halbig of Saylorsburg, PA. His children John Dennis Halbig Jr. of Beach Lake, PA, Melissa Jean Halbig of Philipsburg, NJ, James Ralph Halbig of Landing, NJ, Heidi Marie Halbig of Budd Lake, NJ, Richard William Gilchrist of Woodbridge, NJ, Heather Elizabeth Gilchrist of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bartholomew Johnathan Halbig of Denville, NJ and 12 Grandchildren also survive him.
