Obituary of Edna D. Stanecki

Edna (Angela) D. Stanecki (nee Curcio) passed away at Morris View Healthcare Center on August 5, 2015. She was 95 years old.
Born in Newark she lived with her mother and two sisters until she married in 1942. In 1955 she moved from Newark with her husband, Walter J. and son to Maplewood. In 1969 she and her husband started volunteering at the Mother Teresa Soup Kitchen/Food Pantry and University Hospital in Newark. She was a Eucharistic Minister. When her husband participated in the Deacon Program in the Newark Archdiocese, she worked with the women's auxiliary. In 1993 they moved to Randolph and continued their volunteer work at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover until her husband's death in 2004. She moved to Morris View in 2011.
Edna is survived by her son, Joseph W. and his wife Suzanne Stanecki of Rockaway, NJ.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass was held at St. Mary's Church in Denville followed by entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
