Obituary of Katherine I. McNamee

Katherine "Kitty" McNamee (nee Daley), 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 2nd at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, March 1st from 2-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ. Born in Shenandoah, Pa to the late Luke and Margaret; Katherine was one of nine children. After her schooling, she worked as a nurse's assistant, before moving to NY. There, she was a supervisor for Hanover Fire & Casualty and Sales Associate with different department stores for over 30 years. Most recently, Katherine has lived in Cooks Pond, Denville, where she enjoyed activities and friendships. Predeceased by her husband Joseph McNamee Jr. and her eight siblings; she is survived by her son Joseph III and his wife Gloria; her grandson Daniel; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
