Thomas E. Doty of Rockaway, NJ, passed at home on Thursday February 24, 2011. He was 56 years old
"Ted" was born in Bayshore, Long Island and was a Rockaway resident for 23 years. He received a Bachelor degree from Boston College and his MBA from Northeastern. Ted was very active in his community and was part of the Lions Club for several years and was once a past President. Ted also ran for mayor once and was on the Rockaway Township schoolboard for 2 years.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Laurel. He was a loving father to his son Nicholas. Cherished son to his parents Charles and Anne Doty of West Sayville, NY. Adored brother to: His sister, Bernadette Dvorak and her husband Robert of Saugerties, NY; Brother Charles Scott Doty and his wife Judi of Dunstable, MA. ; Brother Christopher James Doty and his wife Patricia of Bayport, NY. Dear uncle to 9 nieces and nephews.
Arrangements through Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ (please light a candle in Ted's memory at www.normandean.com). A private cremation is scheduled. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Friends and Relatives will be received from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. A Prayer service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis or Juvenille Diabetes.
