Chuck was born in Paterson, was a resident of Elmwood Park before moving to Sparta 23 years ago. Chuck is survived by his daughters, Sherri Zeilnhofer and her husband Steve, Barbara Dee Green and her husband Scott, his grandchildren, Jessica and Dakota McAveney, Ryan Zeilnhofer, Alexa, Jenna and Amanda Green, his brother Anthony Loffler, his sisters Joyce Dykstra and Dolores Dee D’Alterio, and his life partner Elle Levenson. Family and friends are invited to kindly pay their respects and celebrate his life on Wednesday Oct 13th from 2-4 and 7-8Pm with services at 8pm at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Chuck on website). Charles Nicholas Loeffler 6/1/43 to 10/9/10 Charles Nicholas Loeffler, Sparta, NJ, 67, died unexpectedly October 9, 2010. He was born in Paterson, NJ, raising his daughter’s Sherri & Barbara Dee in Elmwood Park, then settled in the mountains of Sparta, NJ. Chuck is survived by his daughter Sherri Zeilnhofer & her husband Steve, Barbara Dee Green & her husband Scott, grand children Jessica & Dakota McAveney, Ryan Zeilnhofer, & Alexa, Jenna & Amanda Green. His siblings Anthony Loeffler, Sisters Joyce Dykstra & Dolores D’Alterio His last 16 years were shared with his Life partner Elle Levenson of Denville, NJ He graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University, Teaneck, NJ in 1980 with a bachelors degree in engineering and music. He is also certified in massage therapy, natural healing and was a well know Tai Chi instructor. He worked in the electrical engineering field from 1964 to 2001. Chuck has many talents and hobbies which he was very passionate about. One of his main passions is the Native American Traditions. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations.
