Hello, I just wanted to give my condolences and say that in my 34 years of life, I have never had a teacher (or anyone) make as much of an impact on my life as my 8th grade english teacher Mr. Arthur Bonnet. He was tough on me and demanded that I take his class seriously and I did. He made us memorize and perform the first paragraph of Tell Tale Heart and Eldorado by Edgar Allen Poe. I worked so hard memorizing and perfecting my lines that I never forgot them to this day. I also never forgot all the life lessons I learned in his class (everything from relationships to social and racial issues). Anyone who did not have the privilege to have had Mr. Bonnet as a teacher at some point in their life did not have a proper education. I will miss you Mr. Bonnet, you truly were a giant and I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to be your student. Rest in peace. Thank you and my deepest condolences.

I'm not sure whether this is right or wrong to do (so please forgive me), but to the family of Mr. Bonnet, a man who I have wondered about for MANY, many years; a man who inspired me to have a passion for Language Arts and English; a man I wanted to show I still have my Dopplegang book, I just want to say Mr. Bonnet was the best English teacher I ever had! I was born and raised in Passaic, and moved to Dover some years back. I had no idea Mr. Bonnet was so close. He truly was an inspiration to me; and for some reason, I never forgot him. I'm 46 now and I'm sad that I didn't get to visit him in our later years, but I will forever treasure the passionate lessons he taught us :) I'd love to place flowers at his site some day... If that can be shared. God bless all, and thank you!

I realized after reading the obituary this morning thatwe are related. My mother, Veleria Woodruff, and Arthur Bonnet, Sr., as well as his brothers Robert and Charles, were first cousins and were part of my growing up years. My grandmother was Estelle (Hanle)Woodruff. Reading this morning's paper made me sad and sorry that we hadn't kept in touch.
