Everyday is a Blessing
This was my sister, Cookie's Slogan. She never gave in to despair or lost hope. My sister Cookie always was the optimist, while I have always been the pessimist. In our conversations over the last few years, Cookie finally got through. I have worked very hard to take each day as blessing. But each day I will always hear Cookie saying "Everyday is a blessing" and will strive to make it one. I have been blessed with three sisters who have shown me courage, strength and to live life to the fullest. Each one has faced struggles in their lives and have proved to us all that when life throws a bump or a fork in the road, hold your head up and keep going, don't give in.
While I have not always lived up to their hopes or expectation and didn't always listen to their wisdom. They have loved me with all my faults and have pushed me to be a better person. Because of them I will try to live life to its fullest and accept each day as a blessing and a gift that God has graced me with. Let's Celebrate Cookie life, she lived her life everyday as blessing. She instilled hope and courage in each of us. Cookie was a blessing to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, daughter sister and foremost a proud and loving mother.
In the words of our mother "SO LONG COOKIE" Know that I will never forget the influence you have had on my life. I will always love you! Love Ro

You don't get a say in the family you get but someone up there made sure our family was blessed with an angel. Cookie was my cousin, my friend and my other sister. We shared a lot of hijinks, laughter and tears. But what I will remember is her indominable spirit.
She thanked me many times for things I did for her and each time I protested. The truth is there aren't enough thank yous for what she gave me each time we were together or talked on the phone. She gave the gift of herself. The way she led her life each and every day, all the good and all the bad, made me want to be a better person. What a legacy - to have touched so many lives and enriched each one!

I will miss Cookie terribly. She has been a wonderful cousin and friend. She was the most selfless, kindest, generous and thoughtful person I have ever known. Even when she wasn't feeling well, she would find the strength to call and find out how you were doing with your problems. She always knew the right thing to say! I am so grateful to have been part of her life and to have shared so many good times with her. Her spirit and her wonderful laugh will live forever!! I love you Cookie!

Who will I call in troubled times?
Who will drop what they are doing to be with me?
Who will tell me to shut up and get over myself when no one else will?
Who will understand everything that has happened since I was 7 years old?
Who will remember the Admiral's Daughter & Tommy James & the Shondells?
Who will go swimming with me on a crowded beach in a bathing cap?
Who will think I was the best friend they every had?
Who can I say anything in the world to and they won't be offended?
Who will believe in me when I don't believe in myself?
Who will be the life of the party?
Who was a better friend to me than you?
