OBITUARY
Paul W. Bathrick of Bethel, Connecticut passed away at the Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey on June 21, 2009. He was 81 years old.
Paul was born in 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, and attended schools in Katonah, New York. After returning from serving in the US Army Air Force, he settled in Pound Ridge, New York where he married and was actively involved in the Pound Ridge community as a volunteer firefighter, a local Boy Scout leader as well as being an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.
Paul moved to Bethel, Connecticut and where he re-married spent 27 years with his wife Carol Bathrick. A small engine mechanic by trade employed by Taylor Rental of Norwalk, he continued his love of the outdoors by hiking, canoeing, camping and traveling throughout the United States as well as becoming a passionate square dancer, gardener and family chef.
In addition to his wife Carol, survivors include daughter Laurie Bathrick, sons Steven Bathrick and Daniel Bathrick; stepchildren Kevin Keeler, Stephen Keeler, Lynn Fisher, Andy Keeler and Alan Keeler; grandchildren Andrew Bathrick, Thomas Bathrick, Mike Keeler, Trisha Keeler, Annie Keeler, Garnet Keeler, Gabrielle Keeler, Oakley Keeler, Soren Keeler, Lauren Keeler, Rose Ahern, Nicolas Fisher, Emily Keeler, Ruth Keeler and Great-granddaughter, Amber Berenguel.
Interment and memorial service will be at the Roxbury Cemetery, 429 Roxbury Road, Stamford, Ct on Sunday July 26th at 10:30am. Donations can be sent to Marcuc Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, Danbury Hospital.
