I remember Paul's big red convertible as one of my earliest memories. Teaching us to shoot the BB gun properly. One eyed Pete's. Meatloaf Wendesday. Rides to Norwalk State Tech (near his work). The Big E and all the cookware shows. Cooking cheese crispy on the T-Fal cookware. I still cover my grill EVERY TIME when I am finished using it. The theory you don't need to clean the bottoms of the dishes (that never caught on). Emily remembers Grandpa was always fun to talk to, he talked to Emily about making boats. Building things, he helped me plan out my bottle (can't remember the brand, green jug shaped) handle I made in woodworking. Making boats and other things. A coat hook for my coat to go on every time (I think that caught on as I am have them in my house too).

Paul's and Carol's timeless joy, energy and friendship they share with everyone. Square and Round dancing with them are some of our favorite life-long memories. My personal favorite is remembering Paul's pork-chop sideburns and my vision of Paul and Carol dancing 'Roses for Elizabeth' or 'Hot Lips' or 'Street Fair' and "Folsom Prision Blues' all with our great friends on the the dance floor. Paul's laugh sounds in my mind so clear because he mixed it up with a cross between a "Santa Claus" chuckle and his pirate-like "ho, ho, ho" -- so that's how it is for me. Love to Carol.

I will miss the man. He was a leader and a teacher. I will always remember he showed me the 'correct' way to drink home-made apple cider from a jug.
