Uncle Eddie, it's hard to summarize what an intricate part of our childhood you played. Growing up in Indian Lake in the 70's on West Shore Road was as close to Norman Rockwell or Andy Griffith as you could possibly hope for. The families all close, neighbors being more extended family than just the guy down the street. When you would pull up in your mail truck, it wasn't the mails here, it was Uncle Eddie is here! Thank you for being a part of my extended family throughout the years and helping to bring magic to my childhood. God bless you Uncle Eddie and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ed's family. We first met Eddie when we moved into our first home in Indian Lake. Being new to Denville, he was a wealth of information about the town and things to do for a young family. AND he was absolutely the best mailman ever. You are now with your beloved wife. May you rest in peace.VHLWZG

Ed, buddy, one of the things that I will always remember about you, is that when I returned to the Denville Fire Association after a 30-year time away. You were one the 1st Firemen to welcome me back. It was genuine gesture on your part. I will miss your many interesting stories that you freely told to your Firemen buddies. I told you that you should have written a book. I will miss sitting with my buddy at a table at a Fire Dept. or Association function. During our visits at the hospital, you said that you did not want to live alone anymore. You won’t have to. You are now with many love ones. Remember “To Live In Memory Is Not To Die.” Don’t worry, you will always be in our memories, but we will still miss you.

Eddie, you were one of the last true gentlemen. I'm going to miss our conversations about Staten Island back in the old days, stories about World War II, and happenings around town. You were a great mentor and friend. I can already hear you telling St. Peter, "let's get something done!" Rest easy pal, and save a seat for the rest of us.

I will never forget one Tuesday night when you were leaving Main Street I said “are you are leaving?” and you turned to me and said “I have to go home and take care of my black girlfriend”. I think I nearly fell off of my chair. You turned to me and said my black lab! LOL. I am saddened by your death. I will miss you on Tuesday nights telling your stories at the bar, But I know you are with your wife who you loved with you entire heart and your black girlfriend... God Speed Ed. I will never forget you
