Richard G. Cooke 68, Financial Advisor
Richard G. Dick Cooke, 68, died at home in Denville, NJ on Monday September 20, 2004.
He was born in Bronx, NY and lived in Denville, NJ the last 31 years. He graduated in 1959 from St. Johns University, Brooklyn, NY. He was a US Navy veteran during peacetime. He was employed as a financial advisor for Met Life the last 15 years and retired in 2003. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Lakes Council #3359, and St. Marys Church Denville, NJ, and member of the Golden Circle Met Life. He was an avid Golfer.
Mr. Cooke is survived by his wife of 41 years Rebecca Becky, his children Alexandra Dejewski and her husband Albert of Wayne, and Timothy Cooke and his wife Mary Beth of Bethel, CT, and the late Richard Cooke; his grandchildren Jordan, Sydney, Elise Dejewski, Aidan and Kayleigh Cooke.
The Funeral is from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Thursday September 23rd at 9:45a.m. For a 10:30a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Marys Church Denville, NJ Interment Denville Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday September 22nd 2-4 & 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Barnabas Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, 1st Floor, West Orange, NJ 07052.
