Obituary of Richard J Koch, Jr.
Richard John Koch Jr. born on October 2,1939 to Theresa Koch and Richard Koch Sr. in Orange, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025. He attended Livingston High School before joining the military in 1957. He was a member of the US Navy for which he served proudly on the USS Saratoga.
He spent his 40-year career as a talented tool and die maker. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for years and was a member of the NRA. He was an avid gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying his plane, a Grumman Tiger.
He was a devoted husband to his wife Judith Koch for 57 years. He was also a cat lover and cherished his cats over the years, Puddy, Muffin and Baby.
He was a fine craftsman that enjoyed woodworking, photography, and home improvement.
He is survived by his wife Judith Koch, his sister Judith Donahue, his sister in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
A private committal service with immediate family and friends will take place on Friday, January 17th.
