Obituary of Michael R. Lopardo
Michael R. Lopardo, 67, of Rockaway, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Morristown, NJ, to Michael and Mary (Ambrosio) Lopardo, Michael was a longtime resident of Parsippany before moving to Rockaway, NJ, 38 years ago. He graduated from William Paterson University in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree, and went on to have a successful 40-year career as an industrial salesman. For the last 10 years, he worked with Northeast Industrial Technologies in Denville, NJ.
Michael had many passions throughout his life. He was an avid motorcyclist and loved riding his Kawasaki Vulcan 900. Music was another lifelong passion; Michael started playing guitar at the age of 15, and his Gibson Les Paul was his constant companion for many years. He played in numerous wedding and club bands when he was younger, and his love for music never faded. In addition to his musical talents, Michael was skilled at woodworking and video games, and was known for his ability to fix almost anything. However, above all, Michael cherished the time spent with his family, whom he loved deeply.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Photeine(Stratos) Lopardo, his children, Michael Anthony and his wife Veronica of Ledgewood, NJ, and Rachel Christine of Rockaway, NJ. He also leaves behind many dear relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834.www.normandean.com.
