Obituary of Michael Wayne Harris
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Wayne Harris, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and dear friend, who left us on November 1, 2024, at the age of 56. Michael’s life was a celebration of love, adventure, and family.
Born on May 27, 1968, Michael embodied the spirit of connection and warmth. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Andrea, with whom he shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Their love was a testament to partnership and commitment, and together they built a home filled with laughter, support, and cherished memories. As a proud father to their four children, Jacob, Mikayla, Jesse, and Wyatt. A treasured son to Jim and Eileen Harris. Michael instilled values of love, resilience, and appreciation for family in each of them.
A passionate outdoorsman, Michael found joy in crossbow hunting and fishing, relishing the serenity of nature and the thrill of adventure. Whether teaching his children the skills of the hunt or enjoying quiet moments by the water, these experiences brought him closer to his family and to the land he held dear.
Michael’s love for motorcycles was another significant aspect of his life. Riding his beloved Harley Davidson gave him a sense of freedom, and he took pride in maintaining his bike. His collection of shirts from nearly every state told tales of adventures on the open road, each one a testament to his spirit of exploration.
Proud of his Native American heritage, Michael embraced the traditions and values passed down through generations. He carried this pride in his heart, sharing stories and teachings with his family, ensuring they understood and appreciated their roots. This connection to his heritage enriched his life and deepened his love for the natural world.
Known for his quick wit and generous spirit, Michael had an extraordinary ability to bring people together. His laughter was infectious, and his heartfelt stories, filled with humor and warmth, will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a true friend, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear.
