Mr. Wilde was my math teacher, track coach, and a neighbor in Rainbow Lakes. The full trifecta. I specifically remember missing a few days of school due to illness and Mr. Wilde literally came running up the hill to my house to make sure that I had a chance to take that math test I had missed with a big smile on his face (I wasn’t smiling haha). RIP Mr. Wilde

Dick was a true professional who was loved by all who knew him. He was respected by both students as well as faculty.
For a good many years, he was on my team with Sylvia Campbell and Bob Penny. We had such a good time preparing lessons and trying to decide how to help each student.
His smile, laughter and good heart will be missed.
Sara, my heart goes out to you for this loss.

First met Coach as an immature 7th grader (1983) at Brooklawn Junior High in his math class. His love for Cross Country was evident from the start. You would spot him all over Parsippany running with a group of students behind him. He always led the way and was super encouraging to me throughout my track career in HS and College. You made such an impact on all of the runners that you coached. Thank you for everything you did for me during our time together. You will be dearly missed.

I met Dick Wilde when we were colleagues at Brooklawn Middle school. Enjoyed Sara and his company both professionally and socially through the years. He was an excellent Math. Teacher to my son who was one of his students. My husband and I ran the New Year’s Eve Race in Central Park one year and Dick was quite the runner. I have only the fondest memories.

Sara my heart is so broken for you. The two of you always reminded me that true love is possible. The two of you have touched so many peoples hearts that you will never be alone, you will see his kindness in everyone he touched. Madi and I will keep you in our prayers and try to live our lives the way he did.
