Kathleen M. Pedersen, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 90.

 

Born in the Bronx, NY, Kathleen was the cherished daughter of the late Sheila (Brosnan) McNiff and Michael McNiff.

 

Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Donald J Pedersen. Loving mother of her two sons, Donald and Michael; her daughters-in-law, Antoinette and Lynda; her adored grandchildren, Sterlling, Gryffin and Rowan; her brothers, William and Charles (Peggy), dearest sister of the late Kevin, Joseph, and Jack.

 

Kathleen grew up in the vibrant neighborhoods of New York City in the 1940’s and 50s. Kathleen graduated from high school in 1952 and went on to earn her college degree in Accounting.

 

Kathleen married Donald in 1959, they moved to Bergen County, NJ, before settling in Rockaway Borough to raise their family. Kathleen was a devoted wife until Donald’s passing in 2010. In 2020, she retired to Cooks Pond in Denville, where she became an active member of the Denville Senior Citizens Group.

 

Kathleen worked and thrived as a dedicated Real Estate Agent well into her 80s, demonstrating her passion for her industry and her commitment to her clients.

 

A passionate bridge player, Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her bridge club, always finding the energy and time to meet with them, even when her health declined. Kathleen was a voracious reader; you could often find her engulfed in a new book ready to discuss it with her book club. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother, creating lasting memories with her adored grandchildren.

 

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial visitation on Saturday, October 5th, from 2 to 4 pm, with a service at 3:30 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, at 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ 07834.
