Obituary of Dr. John Dellorso

Dr. John Dellorso passed away peacefully at his home in Rockaway Twp., NJ on September 9, 2024, at the age of 72.

 

Born in Yonkers, NY to John and Concetta (D’Ilario) Dellorso, he had lived in Rockville Centre, NY for many years before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ 20 years ago.

 

He was a graduate of Manhattan College and then went to medical school at the University of Perugia, Italy, where he learned the Italian language at the same time

As he weas attending school.  He was an Internist in Parsippany, NJ as well as the FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner.

 

Dr. John loved his family and especially his granddaughters more than anything in the world.  He also loved his swimming pool, the History Channel, Airplanes. smoking good cigars, playing his guitar, listening to good music like the Eagles, Beatles and Roy Orbison. 

 

He was predeceased by his brother Salvatore Dellorso in 1995.

 

Dr. John is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 48 years, Josephine (Bellavia) Dellorso of Rockaway Twp, and by his loving children Jackie and her husband Phil Linder of Berkley Heights, NJ, and John Dellorso and his fiancé Gabi of California, and his cherished granddaughters Lucy and Ellie Linder.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday September 12, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com  A funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 13, at 11:00AM at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church 154 Mt. Pleasant Avenue Rockaway, NJ.
