Obituary of Alyssa Ann Bolivar

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Alyssa Ann Baggot-Bolivar who passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2024.

Alyssa was born on April 10th of 1962 to Alvina and Arthur Baggot in Denville, New Jersey. She grew up to be a kind and caring woman who led a career as an events coordinator for the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. She had a loving spirit and will be dearly missed. No formal services will take place for Alyssa, but please use this page to leave a condolence, share a memory, or light a candle to continue to let Alyssa’s light shine!

Alyssa was a born and raised Jersey Girl and loved that she’d never pumped gas. She had a happy childhood, loved her state and her hometown of Denville. After attending classes at the community college, she quickly joined the workforce. After years of dedication to varied industries, Alyssa developed a wide range of technical and social skills. Her past times included movies, musical concerts and sharing recipes. She was employed in New Jersey and in NYC by a leading tool manufacturer and in venues with live entertainment, dining and dancing. She acted as personal assistant to an independent film producer. While servicing patrons, she learned recipes from top chefs and tried them out on her family and friends. At the jobs throughout Alyssa’s life, she interacted with people - something she relished and was good at. At the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, she coordinated events and raised money for nonprofits. She hosted scholars, authors, politicians, philanthropists and celebrities at major events involving scheduling, preparation and collaboration.

In short, it was her job to bring people together - and that she did, even outside of work. A true people person, she’d consider you a school friend, a work friend, a neighbor friend, a shopping friend, a lady-at-the-bus-stop friend. She stayed true to her friends and she needed them; but first and foremost in Alyssa’s life was her family. Her world evolved around her son Adam, her parents and her siblings. Alyssa was always at Adam's baseball and football games cheering him on. Her favorite times were summer vacations, playing board games, bonding on the beach, picnic table dinners, holiday dinners, the grab bag at Christmas and running to see Santa on the firetruck. Alyssa was content with the simple things in life and will rest peacefully knowing how much she was loved, and by so many.
