Obituary of Chris Mark Peterson
Chris Peterson passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on May 31, 2024, at the age of 62.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he grew up in Byram, NJ and lived in Clifton and Boonton before moving to the Fox Ridge section of Rockaway Twp., NJ.
Chris was a graduate of Lockhaven University in Pennsylvania, he worked for many years in Cyber Security, and most recently at Identity Works. He was an avid bowler, bowling for both the Greenbriar and the Fox Hills Leagues at Rockaway Lanes. He also enjoyed playing poker, travelling, going on cruises, and most of all he loved to spend time with Peanut, his Papillon.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Vera (Danzi) Peterson from Queens, NY, and by his loving parents Douglas and Barbara Peterson of Byram, NJ, his brother Douglas Peterson Jr. of Astoria, Queens, NY and his sister Wendelin (& Bob) Farley of Herrickville, PA. He is also survived by his sister in-law Rosemary (& Fred) Hamel of Elwood, NY and his brother in-law Vincent (& Josie) Danzi of Virginia, and also by his loyal Papillon Peanut.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2024, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM and from 2:00PM to 4:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Memorial donations in his memory can be sent to Creature Comfort Pet Therapy.
