Obituary of Terry Lynne Bourget
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Terry Lynne Bourget; a long-time resident of Rockaway who passed away on May 9th, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.
Terry was born to Katherine and Richard Fallon in November of 1961 in Dover New Jersey. She was raised there alongside her two brothers. Terry went on to lead a career in healthcare as a home health aide. She was a natural caretaker and had such a passion for making sure each of her patients were attended to with the highest level of care. Further than her work life, Terry was a caretaker to her loved ones. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring aunt. Whether it was watching an episode of her favorite soap opera or fawning over Baby Yoda, everything was better with family at her side.
When she did find free time, Terry was extremely active in her community. She was on the board of the Shongum club; a true lake-girl at heart, and enjoyed spending many summer days floating on the water. She also volunteered at Church of the Savior on the Altar Guild, as Secretary to the Treasurer, a member of the choir, and a member of the St. Martha’s Lady’s Guild. Terry truly cherished the communities that she had the opportunity to be a part of; and they were blessed to have her!
And though we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited in Heaven with those who passed before her; her Father, Richard Fallon, Step-Father, Frank Scaniello, Sr. and her Mother in Law, Mary Bourget. It is now that we look to the loved ones she leaves behind to carry on her legacy of care and love. Terry’s survivors include her beloved husband, Henry Bourget, Jr., her children, Jon-Luc Bourget, Pierce Bourget and his husband Anthony Plaag, her mother, Katherine Scaniello, her siblings, David Fallon, Richard Fallon, Jr., her Sister in Law, Christina Taylor, as well as a wealth of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends and her Lake Family who will remember her fondly.
If you would like to contribute to Terry’s memory yourself, please consider making a charitable contribution to the Shongum Club where Terry made so many fond memories. Donations can be made via inmemof.org.
