Obituary of James Zuravnsky
James Zuravnsky passed away at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna, NJ on April 9, 2024, at the age of 79.
Born in Jersey City he had lived in Harrison, NJ before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ in 1973 where he and his wife Patricia (McCauley) Zuravnsky raised their family.
James worked as a Steam Fitter for the Steam Fitters Union Local #475 in Warren, NJ for many years before retiring in 2007. He and his wife Patricia loved to play golf and were long time members of the Delaware Water Gap Country Club in Pennsylvania. He also loved to watch sports of all kinds and mostly he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia (McCauley) Zuravnsky in 2015.
James is survived by his loving children Daniel and his wife Amanda, Tara and her husband Mark Van Orden and James and his wife Melanie. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Patrick, Riley, Aiden, Ryan, Brooke, Jack, Lucas, Owen and Adelyn.
His siblings Maryanne and her husband Jack Reilly, Theresa Ertle, Len and his wife Joanne Zuravnsky and Al and his wife Claire Zuravnsky also survive him.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 15, 2024, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday April 16, at St. Simon the Apostle Church 1010 Green Pond Road Rockaway Twp., NJ 07866. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
