Obituary of Jessica L. Spiteri
Jessica L. Spiteri passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Morris View Health Care Center in Morris Township, NJ. She was 43 years young.
Born on a sunny day on May 14, 1980 in Texas, Jessica was raised in Denville, New Jersey by Chris G. Van Duyne and the late Patricia Ann Van Duyne. She made many wonderful memories growing up with her sister, Crystal, before graduating from Morris Knolls High School. Jessica was a bookworm. She loved reading anything she could get her hands on as a child and spent most of her time sitting in a tree with her books. Her summers were best spent at Indian Lake and she never missed a July 4th celebration; watching the jet-ski shows and fireworks on the lake were the best. She also enjoyed taking joy rides, getting lost with her Dad on his motorcycle. Jessica will forever be remembered for her quick wit and fighting spirit. Although we are deeply saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now at rest, safe with her Mom, Patricia, and Nanna, Elieen Van Duyne.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved family members; her adored son, Chris Spiteri; her loving dad and step-mom, Chris and Stacey Van Duyne; her cherished sister, Crystal Van Duyne Malec; her treasured grandpa, James F. Van Duyne, Sr.; her loving uncle and aunts, James and Michelle F. Van Duyne, Jr. and Susanne Van Duyne; her dear niece and nephew, Brandi Allen and Damian Malec; and her caring cousins, Nicole, Josephine, and Victoria.
All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you be kind to others, try your hardest to always be your best self, and never be afraid to ask for help. Please leave a condolence, share your favorite memory of Jessica, and light a candle to continue to celebrate her life and let her light shine bright.
