Cheryl and I went to URI - we lived on the same floor together freshman year. She was such a fun person, was always so full of life and energy. We stayed friends throughout college and the last time I saw her was at my surprise 30th birthday party. I just want to let you know that she will forever be a core memory of mine and I can't imagine the sadness her family is feeling considering how sad this news made me.

The world has truly lost a Beautiful caring happy go lucky woman...I met Cheryl through school and followed her journey such a strong woman who didn't let her face show her pain...you're free from the pain now and time to rest. Back 9+ years ago, when we were co-workers, I never imagined the beautiful gift you’d be giving me, when you chose me to go with your Harper to Riverview School. Being her person both in and out of school, allowed me to get to know you and your family on a personal level, with you calling me another “Auntie,” which I cherished. You were always so full of life and positive light, even on your darkest days. I’ve always been in awe of your strength and love for your family and friends. I will miss your smile, your sweet, high-pitched, “Hi,” when anyone came over, and your general excitement for anything and everything. The photos above were taken pre-diagnosis, and it’s the way I’ll always remember you, with a sparkle in your eye and the love of your girl. Rest in peace my sweet friend. I love you!

I did not know Cheryl and we have never met. But her story took hold of my heart. Why God would wish to take such an exemplary person when there are so many others in this world who would be so more easily spared, I'll never know. I leave you this: originally written for a young girl, it has provided a very small bit of comfort to people: "But for her it was only the beginning of the real story. Dear Cheryl, My heart is very heavy and full of tears! I can't belive this! We just met 2 years ago at MSK while we both were getting out radiation treatments and that's was it..I got to celebrate with you our cancer journey at the pink witches night in October, ordered my t-shirt in the name of your foundation. Didn't think that was the end Cheryl and I won't see you again until when. May you RIP and God give strength to your family and those beautiful kids of yours! I will have our memory together forever..you were thr light in my eyes while I was going through radiation and still going through chemotherapy! Just the other day I texted you not knowing you may be in your last couple days with us, and no response which is not like you. You will be missed! I sure wore your shirt at the breast cancer walk this year and will continue for the years to come! "FIGHT LIKE A MOTHER" Cheryl in my eye you sure did!

Hello~ I have the privilege of teaching sweet little Ellie, in art class this year. Her lovely demeanor and kindness in the classroom, exudes the love, patience and compassion of her AMAZING parents' guidance. Although, I did not work directly with Cheryl, I have heard such wonderful stories that is a true testament of her loving character, and one that will be very missed. This hurts my heart. I am so sad. I met you in 2017 when you first got Patrick. You brought him to the Fire Dept so we could learn about your daughter and the dog. At that time, neither one of us had breast cancer. Then we both got breast cancer. We always checked on each other. May you rest in eternal peace. I am so sad and so sorry.
