Obituary of Lloyd Irving Anderson
Lloyd Irving Anderson passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ on Sunday February 4, 2024, at the age of 93.
Born in Wharton, he was raised in Denville, NJ where he spent the majority of his life.
He worked for many years in Procurement for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ before retiring.
Lloyd proudly served in the United States Air Force in the 4th Fighter Wing during the Korean War, being very much service minded, he volunteered the majority of his time to the Masonic Acasia Lodge #20 in Dover, and the Musconetcong Lodge #42 in Budd Lake, NJ, as well as the Salaam Shriners of Denville and Rockaway, the American Legion Post #91 in Wharton, the V.F.W. Post #2519 in Denville, the Kiwanis Club of Denville, and the Denville Community United Methodist Church.
Lloyd was predeceased by his father Irving Anderson in 1976, and his mother Irene (Nichols) Anderson in 1995, and his uncle John Egbert in 2003.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 12, 2024, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 13, at 10:30AM at the Denville Community Methodist Church 190 Diamond Spring Road Denville, NJ 07834. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery 168 North Sussex St. Dover, NJ 07801.
