Obituary of Rosemary Nelson

     Rosemary Nelson of Hackettstown, NJ, a devoted sister, aunt and friend has passed away leaving behind a profound impact on those that were fortunate enough to have known her. Born in Rockville Center NY, she was raised in Denville, the youngest of  six siblings. She is predeceased by her loving parents, John and Mary Nelson and her nephew Scott Mathesius. She is survived by her sister Anne Camasso and husband Michael of Milton Delaware, brother Edward Nelson and wife Maureen of Sparta, NJ, sister Pat Weinstein and husband Warren of Tom’s River NJ, brother Tom Nelson and wife Toni of Port Charlotte, Florida, and brother John Nelson and wife Katherine of Denville, NJ, her beloved nieces and nephews, Sara McGrath, David Weinstein, Dan, Peter, and John Nelson, and Christopher Nelson as well as 8 great nieces and nephews whom she adored.

     She cherished and practiced her faith as a Roman Catholic deriving much strength and guidance from her close relationship with God. Rose held many temporary positions with various companies throughout her life but found her greatest joy as a caregiver and companion for Visiting Angels. Rose’s presence was unforgettable wherever life took her. She always had a kind word or gesture toward anyone she met. Her positive attitude always got her through the many challenges that she endured. She will always be remembered for her “fighting Irish” spirit.

     A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 20^th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Marys Church 15 Myers Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 followed by internment at Denville Cemetery under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
