Franklin James Mayer Age 41

Lifelong Denville Resident

January 10th, 1982 - December 29th, 2023

Franklin J. "Bean" Mayer is now at peace. He bravely faced many medical challenges throughout his life. Always with grace and very few complaints. His attitude remained positive. And never, ever had a mean bone in his body. Inspirational.

He leaves his father, Walter "Dubs" Mayer, at home. Dad, caregiver, and constant companion. Their life together was a gift. Came in a hard case, with many ups and downs inside. They unpacked it, together, at home, over a lifetime. They enjoyed each others company, that of good friends, and others alike. On their rollercoaster ride of life, they saw everything that is human. Good and Bad. Staying focused on the blessings and miracles, the love and mercy, on they rode. With gratitude, for the chance they had been given. For as long as God and the fates would allow...... An amazing ride.

Predeceased by his Grandmother, Eleanor "EL-BO" Mayer (1997). She loved Franklin, heart and soul. Her words, "He is my higher power". And his "surrogate" Mom, Karen "Mama Kate" Savarese (2022). She loved him, just like her own son. Her words shared with Franklin alone. In quiet times. She would speak to him softly, closely, for hours.

Survived by Kristy "Mama Kristy" Patterson, of Boonton. Friend of the "Dad", since 1967. Meeting Franklin about 1985, was love at first sight. He was like the son she had always wanted. More carefree days, back then. Filled with love and laughs. His mother Dawn Feflie, Henrysville PA. Her love for him never in question. As she went through her own serious health problems. Now, helping Walter, in his darkest hour. While, trying to cope with her own grief...

He had touched many lives. With friends and well-wishers from everywhere. Too many to mention. They know who they are. Please, keep Franklin's memory alive, HEARTS & PRAYERS...
