Obituary of Theodore M. Dashe
Theodore M. Dashe “Uncle Ted” passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Hackettstown Medical Center. He had shared 95 years of love, laughter, and memories with family and friends.
Born in Newark to the late Joseph and Eua Dashe, Ted was the youngest of three children raised in Hillside to bless the Dashe household. After graduating from Hillside High School, Ted went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Upsala College. He then honorably served in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University in 1962. He was a Tax Accountant for Fortune 100 companies in NY & NJ until he retired from Ryder Systems, Inc. in Miami, Florida.
Ted’s world revolved around his beautiful wife, Amelia, who passed away in 1992 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Although we are deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Ted, we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved Amelia, his parents, siblings and nephew, Edward DellaVirginia, who passed before him.
He leaves a legacy of happy memories to his adored nieces and nephews, Christine Geaney (the late John), Margaret Krieger (the late Leslie), Carole Apkarian, John Conneely, Donna Ciccolini (the late Matt) and Diana Ambrose; and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28th from 3 - 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery Church, 654 Ferry Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901. Burial will follow immediately after Mass. Please light a candle, leave a condolence, or share your favorite memory of Uncle Ted here to continue to celebrate his life and let his light shine.
