Joe possessed a certain kind of softness that everyone around him was able to see and experience. When we spent time together, he’d make me smile and laugh a million times over. He had this joyful presence within him that was infectious. I’ll miss him so much.
Sending my deepest condolences to you all.

Joe, Donna and Family,
My heart is breaking for all of you. Abby's was breaking as well when she called and told me about you losing Joe...I can't even imagine your pain. "Little Joe", as we always affectionately called him, was the nicest and sweetest kid, (cause they're all still kids to me.) He was always so kind when Abby's Dad and I would come in to the bakery. It mattered to us. Kindness matters. And when I came in alone, he always asked how Andy was doing. It mattered. Your Son was kind. I used to make him laugh and blush by telling him he had beautiful eyes. And he had that big, awesome, perfect smile that lit up his whole face. He also had an inner light that shined out, and I know he will be missed by so many. The boys and I are thinking of you and sending you Prayers for Comfort, Peace and Strength to get you all through this terrible time. May he Rest in Peace.
With our deepest sympathy,
Love,
Sharon, Matt and Lucas Radler

Stango Family,
Joe was the most vibrant and kindhearted soul. He never failed to make anyone around him smile or laugh. I am blessed to have been so close with him and will cherish the memories we have together. Forever thankful Pillar Drive brought us together and only kept us a few houses apart. We will all miss his laugh and love. My deepest condolences.

The Stango family,
I have so many memories of Joe and I but truth me told, I’m too broken to even find the power to share them. Joe was an absolute class act. Always so selfless willing to give anything and everything to help the next person even if he himself was going through something. Joe himself has opened up his home to me on endless occasions when I was going through personal issues and that’s one of the many reasons he will forever have a place jn my heart. He was a relentless competitor in sports and there’s nothing more I loved then watching UFC and playing pick up basketball with him. He truly will be missed and we lost a great one way to soon. I’m so sorry for your loss and I cannot stress that enough how great and beautiful of a soul Joe truly was and I will miss no and forever and I know he will forever be with all of us in spirit. RIP king we will never forget you.
-“sincerely,
Wayne Sosa (Patterson)

The Stango Family,
I will always remember Joe for pictures like this. Positivity that radiates with a glowing smile and a contagious, goofy laugh. He would light up any room he entered. I met Joe when I first moved to Rockaway in first grade. Through the years we were great friends and built some of the best memories of my life. Countless hours filled with laughter and smiles. In recent years life grew us apart and I always missed having one of my best friends by my side. You find golden souls like his few and far between.
I hope you all find the light Joe shined upon everyone he met during these dark times. The memory of Joe will live on through the lives of everyone he touched. Donna and Joe, thank you for blessing me with a great friend that I hold near to my heart. He will be loved and missed dearly.

Joe and I became friends while attending CCD classes as kids at the local church. He was always one of those people who could make the whole room erupt in laughter with little effort. As we got older, Joe was still that person. He was a very genuine and sweet soul, the type of person who gets along with everyone. I hope Joe’s impact and memories can be his family’s light in this time of darkness. Sending love and light to his loved ones. Rest in paradise Joe.

Joe was probably one of my first friends from Rockaway when we started freshman year at Knolls. I’ve been finding myself thinking of all the memories we have together and not a single one isn’t filled with happiness or laughter. The last time I talked to him, he gave me this book recommendation. I’m grateful he did so now every time I read it, I will think of him and smile. Rest easy Joe. You are absolutely loved and missed.
