The following is a duplicate entry (of Monday August 7th) to the Legacy.com Website that does not appear to be well-viewed or visited..... What is it like to miss a funeral entirely because you didn't line up the days with the dates on the calendar? Just ask us. Seeing the State Police led procession passing through the neighborhood this morning was our first clue. We have been neighbors for 40+ years and my memory of Donna extends back to childhood as she was "that girl up the street." later her parents brought what I called "the liverwurst store" (Park Place Delicatessen) and I knew her thru school, graduating at PHHS in 1972. We eventually became neighbors once again as Stan & Donna built their house as we purchased ours. We watched her kids grow up and later, daughter Kelly was a babysitter for our kids. The connection is a long one. It was unfortunate to watch how her long-term illness made life difficult for her to continue but she never gave up hope and Donna was still Donna. My wife will miss seeing and talking to her along the way on walks, passing in front of her home. Conversations were filled with talk about family and community. Fond memories to be sure! In loving memory of Donna, a soul who clearly touched the lives she encountered with her endless love and kindness. Though Joe and I may not have had the privilege of knowing her personally, her impact can be seen vividly through her son, our friend Dan. He is a testament to the enduring imprint of his beloved mother. It is both humbling and inspiring to witness the ripple effect of Donna's impact. As her son continues to uplift and support those around him, we are reminded of the power of a mother's love and the lasting impressions we leave on those we cherish. We celebrate Donna's beautiful life and the kind spirit she infused in her family, friends and community. May her legacy inspire us all to embrace the qualities she embodied- love, kindness, determination, and bravery. Rest in peace, Donna. Thank you for leaving the world a better place through the remarkable family you raised.
