Obituary of Francis Victor Giugliano
It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Francis “Frank”
Frank was born to Victor and Catherine Giugliano in September of 1942. He
was raised in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up to gain an education in
technology. While in Brooklyn, Frank met the love of his life, Suzann, and in
January of 1969, were married and moved to Denville, NJ in 1972. Frank worked
as a General Manager for ABC/Disney television for over 40 years, where he went
on to receive 4 Emmy awards for his work on the Olympic games. He was instrumental
in pioneering the technology that focused on instant replay and changed the way
we watch televised sports to this day. Frank was very talented at his job,
and was loved by all of his colleagues.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed the simple things in life. If you put Frank on
a beach with a lounge chair and a crossword, he would be at his happiest. When he
wasn’t baking in the sun, you could find Frank cruising around in his beloved
Cadillac, CTS that was his pride and joy. Frank also was an avid gym-goer up until
his passing. More than anything, though, Frank loved his family. His wife,
children, grandchildren, and dogs were the light of his life. The memories they
made together on their trips down the shore are ones that they will hold onto forever.
And though his passing brings us sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that
he is at peace in paradise, reunited with his parents, Victor and Catherine. Now, we
look to those he leaves behind to carry on his memory. His survivors include his
wife, Suzann Giugliano, his son, Frank Giugliano and his wife, Amy, his daughter,
Lori Maines and her partner, Dean, his grandchildren, Bailey Maines, Michael
Maines, Shea Guigliano, Michael McEwen, Mitchell McEwen, Isaiah Bartolota, and a wealth
of friends, neighbors, and coworkers who will remember him fondly.
Public visitation for Frank will take place on Tuesday, August 1st, from 4 to
8 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services. A Funeral Service will be held the
following day, Wednesday, August 2nd, at 10:30 AM at Norman Dean Home for
Services, followed by a procession to Denville Cemetery for interment. All are
welcome to come and celebrate Frank’s life. Please leave a condolence, light a
candle, and share your favorite memory of Frank here to continue to celebrate his life.
