Obituary of Peter B. Gasparo

Peter B. Gasparo passed away at Care One in Parsippany, NJ on May 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he spent many years living on Long Island and then Lodi, NJ before moving to the Indian Lake section of Denville 43 years ago.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University and worked in I.T. and computer programming for ISP in Wayne, NJ for many years before retiring in 2006.

Peter spent many years boating with his family on Long Island while growing up, later in life he would own his own boats that his family would enjoy on Lake Hopatcong.  He was also a train enthusiast, having a vast collection of Lionel trains, it gave him great joy to show them off during the Christmas season. Peter was an avid follower of the NY Islanders, NY Giants and NY Mets. When it came to music, he loved anything from the 1950’s and 60’s.

He is predeceased by his mother Vita Buoniconti (Nocera) and stepfather Vincent Buoniconti, daughter Lisa Gasparo, son Leonard Gasparo, and brother Robert Gasparo.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife Gloria (Ruffino) Gasparo of Denville, and his loving daughters Jennifer and her husband C.W. Kennybrook of Stanhope, Michele Martin of Denville, and his loving grandchildren Christopher, Maria, Riley, Luke, Alex, and Abby, who he adored.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834www.normandean.com. 

A funeral service will be held during the visiting hours at 6:00PM at the funeral home.
