Obituary of Scott Russell Lawton
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Scott Lawton, who passed away in his home on March 29th, 2023.
Scott lived to the age of 56 and spent his years being a hard worker, a loving brother, and a caring son. From a very young age Scott showed that he had a very strong work ethic and would hold multiple jobs at a time. He was very dedicated to his work and was a valued employee. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside in nature, and listening to his favorite music. He was a fan of live music and had a soft spot for 70’s rock. The people in his life who were lucky to have known him will remember him as a selfless and kind man.
And though his passing brings us sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace. It is now the task of those he leaves behind to carry on his memory. His survivor’s include his brother, Sean Lawton and his wife, Jennifer, his niece, Madison Lawton, and his cousins, Susan Andrews, Maureen Idleman, and Williams Andrews. Scott now joins his brother, Stephen, and his mother, Rita M. Russell, who passed before him. If you would like to continue Scott’s memory in your own way, please consider making a memorial donation to a charity that he was passionate about; The Interfaith Food Pantry. Donations can be made via inmemof.org.
Hours of public visitation are scheduled for Saturday, April 8th from 10 AM to 12 PM at Norman Dean Home for Services. An interment service will follow immediately after at Denville Cemetery on Savage Road.
