Memorial Visitation
Obituary of Barbara Kelly
Barbara Kelly (Fiedt) passed away at Spring Village in East Stroudsburg, PA on January 2, 2023, at the age of 89.
Born in Cleveland, OH, she moved to the Indian Lake section of Denville, NJ where she lived for many years before moving to East Stroudsburg, PA 5 years ago.
Barbara was an art teacher for the Denville school system, working at both Riverview and Valley View for 30 years before retiring in 1989. She loved to draw and she loved to travel, often times combining them both. She had a trailer in Chincoteague where she would draw pictures of the birds and the scenery, then she would do some surf fishing, which was another thing she loved to do. After retirement she moved to Colorado and worked at Yellowstone National Park for a while. Barbara also loved to play golf; at one time she was club champ at Peace Pipe Country Club. Every winter she would travel to Crystal River, Florida and play golf with her friends. She was fortunate enough to travel to Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand, but would often spend time in Vermont. In her younger years she was very active in the P.T.A. and anything that went on with in the school system. She had a personality that you could not help but love and she will be missed by many.
Barbara is survived by her loving son Edgar “Skip” Kelly III of East Stroudsburg, PA.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834.
