I was so shocked to read of your passing on my friend's Facebook page. You were my advisor in college and it's because of professors like you at St. Elizabeth (my 2nd home) that I am the Educator I am today. You will be missed. Thank you for lighting my life up with your cheer and wisdom during my college days. RIP and my condolences to your family!

Dr. Perkins was an inspiring educator and a fine human being. He always treated his students with respect and kindness. Even when he was telling me how wrong I was on an issue, he was gentle and always unique in his approach. I left St. E's hoping I could /would be as good a mental health professional as I think he was. It was my privilege to know him. RIP Dr. Perkins.

I am a graduate of CSE and although it's been many years since I was there, I still recall what a great professor Dr. Perkins was. My deepest condolences go out to all of his family and friends. Dr. Dave did more than teach facts. He took a personal interest in bringing out the best in each student. We can honor him by taking the same approach in all of our relationships.

Dr. P was an amazing educator, mentor and friend. He will be so missed, and positively effected the lives of all the students that he interacted with over his career. He was so supportive and I am very sad to hear that he is gone, what a loss.
