My Brother-in-Law (more of a Brother) to me, has been taken by God from this earth but will remain in my heart and thoughts forever. My sister, Rosemary and John met as neighbors while growing up in Jersey City and John has been in my life since my birth… so my bond with him has been a lifelong one. A husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, a true Christian… who lived a long and full life is finally at rest after fighting a long illness with all his might…a true warrior through his health struggles as he surely was throughout his life. My admiration for him is immeasurable. To my sister Rosemary, John’s wife of over 63 years, my heart is aching for the overwhelming loss you are suffering and I will be there for you, no matter what you need or want. I am so very sorry you’ve lost your soulmate, but please remember his love will be with you for all time and one day you will reunite. To my nephew John…I can’t tell you how very sorry I am that you lost your Dad, your real life Hero, the man who nurtured you, adored you, and was so very proud of you. I know he will look down on you, your wife Maura and your Family… his beloved grandkids, Braden, Matthew, Morgan and Brigid …sending his overwhelming love to you all. As I mentioned to you earlier this week… I had a beautiful vision upon thinking about your Dad having arrived in Heaven, no longer sick, youthful again and happy to be greeted by and holding your baby girl, Joanna, (who went to Heaven long ago), on his lap while she squealed with joy to be with her Grandpa. It comforted me to know he has reunited with Joanna and other loved ones in the next eternal life. “John… I will miss you all the days of my life (as will Lou) and assure you that I will look after Rosemary so you never have to worry about her. Rest easy now my Brother … until we meet again. I love you !”
