Obituary of Rosemarie E. Rosevear

Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rosemarie Elizabeth Rosevear passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. She had shared 85 years of unconditional love, infectious laughter, and priceless memories with family and friends.

Born and raised in Port Jervis, NY to the late Thomas and Elizabeth DeMarco, she was one of six children to bless their household. She graduated from Kearny High School, class of 1955. She married her best friend, Gerald “Jerry” Rosevear, in 1966 and the rest is history. Together they had two beautiful daughters, whom they raised in Denville. Rosemarie worked at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Parsippany for over 25 years before retiring in 2002. In her younger years, before retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and playing softball with her coworkers. Rosemarie loved dolphins, which began her devotion to the Miami Dolphins. An avid Miami Dolphins fan, she had quite the collection of Dolphins gear and cards. She adored Dan Marino before finding her new love, Tom Brady, from the Patriots. She also had an extensive owl collection and was a model train enthusiast. Her guilty pleasure and happy place were at the casinos and horse races with her brothers. Their go-to place was in Connecticut, but the Meadowlands would suffice when time was an issue. She was truly one-of-kind and will be sorely missed and forever treasured. Although we are deeply saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jerry, her parents, and siblings, Thomas, Lawrence, and Antoinette DeMarco, and Angie Parrella.

She leaves only joyful memories to her loving daughters, Debra (Ronald) Martin and Elizabeth (John) Pelley; her cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey (Erin) Martin, Jacquelyn (David) Olsen, Timothy (Abigail) Martin, Gregory and Kevin Pelley; her precious great-grandchildren, Brody, Cameron, Finn, Ethan, and Bridget Martin, and Owen and Dean Olsen; her caring brother, Pasquale (Myrna) DeMarco; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 9th from 4 - 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Funeral Service will take place at 11 am at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10th.
