Obituary of Kevin Tims
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.
Kevin Tims passed at home on February 28, 2022. He was 59 years old. Private arrangements were held under the direction of the Norman Dean Home For Services, Denville. Donations in his memory may be made to the good work of COTA for Nicholas Tims.
Kevin was born in Boonton and was one of three children to bless Joan (nee Fowler) and Roger Tims. He graduated from Boonton High School and worked for Old Dominion Trucking in his younger years.
He started a family and loved being involved in his children’s sporting and school events. Life wasn’t always easy though. Kevin endured hardships and fought his own battles. With an optimistic outlook, he relocated to sunny Florida a few years back to be closer to the water and enjoy more of what he loved- fishing!
Although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace.
Predeceased by his parents and his son Kevin Roger Tims; he leaves his children Nick and Alex; his sisters Karen Healy (Neal) and Pam Carter; his former spouse Lisa Tims and many more dear relatives and friends.
