Please share a memory of Alice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alice M. Piernot passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022. She had shared nearly 90 years of unconditional love, infectious laughter, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.

Born and raised in Duryea, PA to the late Michael and Helen Francik, Alice was one of eleven children to bless their household. She graduated from Duryea High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Earl Piernot on July 14, 1951. Together they settled in Newark, NJ and started a family before moving to Dover, NJ in 1960. Once her children were grown, Alice began working for Beneficial Finance in Morristown as an Accounting Clerk. She retired in 1996 after 24 years of dedicated service. Above anything else, her family was her pride and joy.

Alice was always on the go. If she wasn’t playing cards or bingo with her friends, you could find her exploring the world. Life is an adventure, and Alice made the most of hers. She traveled all over the world making lasting experiences such as taking trips on helicopters to explore mountains and volcanoes and even went on a hot air balloon ride. She also thoroughly enjoyed her bus trips with her friends to see plays and so much more! She was a humble woman, an incredible wife, an exceptional mother, and loyal friend. Although we are deeply saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Earl, her parents, and her siblings, Helen, Margaret, Emily, Anna, Joseph, Albert, Elmer, Michael and Robert.

She leaves only joyful memories to her children, Jerome Piernot and his wife Barbara and James Piernot and his wife Lisa; her loving sister, Rose Ghigiarelli; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 8th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
