Dear Barbara, Susan, Karen, Judy, Michael and family,
Please accept our condolences on the loss of your Dad. I can't think of our years on Linda Place without remembering the kindness, generosity and friendship that both of your parents extended to us. They epitomized what it meant to be "good neighbors", great neighbors, really.
There is one memory of your Dad that really stands out even though it happened over 40 years ago. Sam was building a rock wall to terrace our front lawn. He had been working only a few hours when Walter took a walk down the street. Without saying a word, he picked up a rock and started helping Sam. That's just who he was. Supportive of other people, looking to lend a hand where he could, and there if you needed him. He did things quietly and humbly, but his presence was always felt.
How lucky we were to have been your neighbors.
With Sympathy and Much Affection,
Mary Parkinson and Susan, Donna, Sarah, Katie & Julie

Barbara and Susan, my thoughts and prayers are with both of you as well as your siblings, children, and grandchildren. How fortunate all of you were to have this great man in your lives for so many years! During the summer I read of his special 100th year celebrations July 4th.I'm so happy to know that he received so much love and joy on that milestone birthday.
Barbara, I was sorry to read of the loss of your dear husband. I was so impressed by his charm and sweet personality when I met him at your mom's wake. May he, your mom, and your dad now rest peacefully with Jesus in His heavenly home.
Love,
Judy

Walt - I will miss sitting down with you and hearing those great stories about your service in WWII. From basic training to going island hopping with the Division 7 Marines, you exemplified the heroism and sacrifice from America's greatest generation. I also will cherish and remember the fun times at the car shows, the assistance/advice on replacing the heater core of my 1979 Chevy K10 pickup truck, and the many times you and Helen helped us out with house projects.
Rest in peace my friend and enjoy your reunion with Helen, parents, and friends.
Your son in law,
Don

Condolences to the entire Mutz Family. I remember sharing many military stories with Mr. Mutz and all the fun we had at the Annual Lakeview Veterans Day Celebration. Rest in peace Mr. Mutz.
