Love you Uncle. Watch over my brother and give my Aunt a big hug. Tell her I don’t throw my lunch out anymore. I told Michael to save you some chili.

This picture of Jerry was taken on October 11, 2021 at the Fox Hills Italian Club Columbus Day Bocce Tournament and of course Jerry was on the winning team. Jerry served on the Executive Board for the Italian Club for 20 years and was the first president. He will be missed!

Dear Chris and family,
We were glad to have seen your Dad on Father's Day (celebrating his birthday as well). Our memory of him was his robust, witty, fun self. We will miss him.

Losing the people we hold dearest, no matter what the circumstances, is the hardest challenge we face in this lifetime. Someone once said the grief we feel in such losses is the price we pay for loving them and being loved by them. All my best to your entire family through this difficult time.

On the first day of high school I met Jerry who was in my French class and sitting next to me. He asked me a French question that was going to be on a homework assignment. I told him I did not know the answer. He replied “and you were in NINE-ONE the smart class in junior high?” I did not like his comment and decided to have nothing more to do with him.
A few days later my mother asked me if a boy named Jerry Perniciaro was in any of my classes. Jerry’s mother and my mother knew each other from the time years ago when they would bring their baby boys to the park to play.
Nothing more was mentioned about French class and Jerry was my best friend for over forty years.
