Obituary of Rose Pullano
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace…
Rose Pullano passed peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021 surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 21st at 10 am at St. Bernards Church, Rockaway. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington. Friends and relatives may visit on Tuesday, July 20th from 4-7 pm at the Norman Dean Funeral Home, Denville. Donations in her memory may be made to the good work of St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Our New Journey.
Rose was born February 12, 1928 to the late Sebastian and Mary (nee Delmonico) Pullano. She was the oldest of three children. After her schooling she worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Hoboken. After retirement Rose left Hoboken and lived in Union City and Bogota before settling into Fox Hills.
Rose truly was one of a kind. She adored her nieces and nephews and was like a surrogate Mother to them all. Her family and her faith were most important to her and she instilled these values within the children. She loved the holidays and when there was laughter, her laugh was always the loudest and greatest. She enjoyed her television, particularly her soaps and a good book. Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing we have another Angel guiding us always.
She leaves joyful memories to her loving sister Antoinette Privitera and the late Robert Privitera, her brother in law; her adored nieces and nephews Sam Pullano (Jacquelyn), Clem Pullano (Patty), Maryetta DeAndrea (Rick), Phil Privitera (Carol), Lydia Gilbert (Bill) and Laura Kaufman (Larry); her ten grand nieces and nephews; six great grand nieces and nephews and many more dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother Clement Pullano and her sister in law Geraldine Pullano (nee Mazza).
