Obituary of Robert W. Connelly
Robert W. Connelly passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ on June 3, 2021, at the age of 83.
Born in Jersey City he moved to Denville, NJ in 1959, where he lived until moving to Rockaway 4 years ago.
Robert worked as an electrician for many years at IBEW Union #164 in Hackensack, NJ before retiring in 1993. He loved putting together model train sets, doing puzzles, going to the diner, and hanging out at the Lake Store in Indian Lake, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosemary (Buckley) Connelly in 2004.
Robert is survived by his loving children Patricia Fleming of Maitland, FL, Karen and her husband Ray Wianecki of Dover, NJ, Anne Marie Connelly and her fiancé Rocco Rotundo of Rockaway, NJ and Robert K. Connelly of Stanhope, NJ
He is also survived by his grandchildren Steven Fleming, Jessica Jewett, Marisa Fleming, Kacey Bloomfield, Ryan Wianecki, Shanna Wianecki, Alyssa Wianecki, Ricky Connelly and Brenda Connelly as well as his great grandchildren Tyler Jewett, Hailey Jewett, Makayla Jewett and Abby Jewett, Alex Guzman, Noah Guzman, and Ariya Guzman, Ayden Fleming and Blake Bloomfield.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday June 11, 2021, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association by way of inmemof.org.
