What a great guy Mr. Mac was. Mr. and Mrs. Mac were great friends of my parents. I replaced him as catcher for Indian Lake Softball, I used to kid him that if he didn’t retire I would not have needed knee replacement. My sympathies to the entire Mchale family and to Mr. Mchale's friends. I was honored to have met and spend time with Mr. Mchale and Mrs. Mchale on so many occasions (since 1986). He was a great, warm and loving man. The world was a better place because of the The McHale's. I am saddened by the loss. But as per the obituary, they are together in heaven. My love to all.

For over 50 years my place at the table on Christmas Eve was at Aunt Barney's and Uncle Joe's house in Denville. Over that period of time many changes to family structures had changed but one constant for me and Donna and my two sons Anthony and Nicholas was always the night before Christmas. We would'nt have missed that night for the world The Schifanos and Mchales have spent so many great times together over the years with Uncle Joe being the strong, silent, head of the family. Growing up, he was someone I could allways turn to and and talk with. I will miss him tremendously. May he est in peace. Chris Schifano

I’m very saddened at the passing of Mr. Mc He and Mrs. Mac were like my second set of parents at Morris Catholic and after I will deeply miss them and treasure the time we spent together. Mr. McHale was a great role model and I’m sure he is proud of his family and all that they have become.and passing on a legacy.My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the entire McHale family Jim Porfido MC 81’
