Obituary of Richard A. Mann
Richard A. Mann passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He had shared nearly 70 years of unconditional love, beautiful music, and pure kindness with family and friends.
Born in Hackensack, he was raised in Oakland to the late Walter & Florence Mann. After graduating High School, he attended County College of Morris. Richard was a father, a husband, and a successful career man, working at RS Microwave Company, Inc. for 27 years. Although he retired as the Production Manager, he was a jack of all trades and helped in many aspects of the company. Rich married the love of his life, Deborah Goldstein, on October 25, 2003. Together they settled in Denville before moving to Sparta in 2019.
More than anything else, Richard loved music – he treasured entertaining and played the guitar and sang for anyone who would listen. He truly valued spending time with loved ones and hosting gatherings. He enjoyed traveling, and he and Deborah went all over; his favorite place to visit being the Jersey Shore amongst others. We will forever miss his infectious smile, incredible sense of humor, and his caring soul. We are deeply saddened by his passing but take comfort in knowing that we now have the greatest Guardian Angel shining down, watching out for us from above.
He leaves a lifetime of joyful memories to his beloved wife, Deborah; his loving children, Ricky Mann, Heather (Daryl) Dacus, and Adam Mann; his step-children, Jonathan (Cheryl) Brauer and Jamie (Chris) Johnson; his cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Brauer, and Elijah, Abigail, and Nicholas Johnson; his caring sisters, Debbie and Nancy; his faithful pup, Theodore; and nieces, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 3 – 6 pm with Funeral Service beginning at 5:30 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. Memorial Donations are being accepted to Feeding America by way of www.inmemof.org. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Rich here to continue to celebrate the phenomenal life he endowed to us.
