Obituary of Marie Condit
Marie Condit passed peacefully on February 23, 2021, at Belle Reve, Milford, PA. She shared 92 years of love and faith with her family. As we continue to be mindful of our current health crisis, Marie’s family will gather privately for her funeral services and burial at the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the good work of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Please share your memories here. Her family will cherish them forever.
Marie was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 29, 1928 to the late John and Elizabeth Ennis. She was one of six children to bless the family. She met the love of her life Edward Condit in Parsippany, NJ They married on May 20, 1950 and settled in Rockaway Township to raise their family. Marie was the proud Mother to five children. She and Edward worked hard to give the kids a good life and instilled in them strong values of faith and family.
Marie was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. Her home was often filled with friends from near and far. She could host a party like no other and always did so gracefully and eloquently. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sitting down with a book and a glass of red wine with ice. She enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to her annual trip to California where she spent time with family and friends. She cherished the time spent with her family, as they have always been the center of her universe. Her favorite title was “Grandma” and she was the doting one to all thirteen! Above everything she shared with us; her love was the best. This family matriarch surely will be missed but her love, lessons and traditions will live on.
She leaves joyful memories to her children Patricia Nelson (Terry), Elizabeth Caruth (David), Edward Condit (Linda), Mary Ann McLean (Mark) and William Condit; her grandchildren Sean Kochy(Yvette), Dylan and Amanda Caruth, Kassandra Stavrenos (Jason), Justin Condit (Kelsey Cancalosi), Brian McLean, Kevin McLean (Kysa), Caitlin McLean (Mitchel Barreras), Emma Condit, and Jeff, Brian and Kevin Nelson and her eight adored great grandchildren.
The family is thankful to all the nurses and staff who cared so deeply and gently for her in her final months. Her husband Edward Condit, her beloved grandson Garrett Kochy and her five siblings passed previously.
