Michael J. Festa passed on January 23, 2021.  He shared 77 years of love and faith with his family.  Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 29th from 4-7 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church, Denville at 10 a.m.  Interment to follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Rockaway.  Donations in his name may be made to the good work of the American Lung Association by way of www.inmemof.org

Michael was born on November 22, 1943 to the late Louis & Annette (nee Pollara) Festa.  He was one of 3 children to bless the family.  After high school he enlisted with the US Navy proudly serving our country.  Upon his honorable discharge he returned home and married his longtime sweetheart Yolanda Ardizzone.  They settled in Lyndhurst and started a family. Mike, along with Yolanda, worked hard to give their daughters a good life.  They relocated to Sussex County in 1980 where they enjoyed the quiet country and rolling hills. Mike was a truck driver for many years.  In his earlier years he loved motorcycles and motorhome camping with his family. After his retirement he enjoyed tinkering in the yard and relaxing on the deck and spending time with friends at the diner, his home away from home. Above all. he loved being with his family, especially his granddaughters.  He will be missed beyond measure but we take comfort in knowing he is with his beloved Yolanda once again. She passed in 2018.

He leaves joyful memories to his daughters Danielle (Joe) Lordi, Joanne (Lee) DeCarolis and Michelle (Jason) Haight; his adored granddaughters Anna and Catherine DeCarolis, Amelia and Alivia Haight; and many other dear relatives and friends.
